I”m thrilled to be performing with this modern jazz ensemble in NYC. George Brandon’s compositions are complex and challenging, and I’ll be reunited with some old friends, Nora McCarhy (v) and Jorge Sylvester (alto). This event is a jazz tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr. in which the Blue Unity Orchestra performs with special guest artists and smaller ensembles of the BUO’s players. A reception with light refreshments precedes the performance.
